Lower sintering temperatures offer many advantages such as:
- savings on graphite mould costs
- savings on energy costs
- greater choice of diamonds
For their intrinsic properties, Next
® powders offer the possibility of complete densification at temperature much lower than Cobalt. In order to confirm that the use of such low sintering temperatures are compatible with good sawing performance, cutting tests have been performed with an independent laboratory.
The results obtained with various grades of the Next
® range are excellent. For MX 1480, several blades were made and tests were performed. Cutting performance is maintained even at low sintering temperatures. Detailed data were presented in Diabond 99 in Nurnberg and are available upon request.
